3 May Constitution Day is a Polish national and public holiday celebrating the declaration of the Constitution of 3 May 1791 - the first constitution in modern Europe.

At Ognisko Polskie, we will be honouring this important date in the Polish calendar with a presentation on “The Constitution of May 3 (1791) - The First Democratically Adopted Modern

Constitution in Europe” created by Instytut Pamięci Narodowej, and brought to us by PWBW on 3rd May in both English and Polish, by Sylwia Kosiec and Dr. Marek Laskiewicz followed by a glass of wine and cocktail snacks
